Dressed in a stylish lace-up mini skirt and a revealing crop top by designer David Koma, Lopez flaunted her toned abs, showcasing her signature glamorous style.

It feels great to be back! Lopez received the Vanguard Award in 2018, and now she’s back to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the award show. “Happy 40th birthday, MTV!” she exclaimed on stage. “Tonight is all about you, and I have to say, it feels amazing to be here in my hometown for the VMAs.”
This year, the 2021 award show is being held at Barclays for the first time in eight years. Lopez then revealed that she would be presenting the Song Of The Year award, which was won by Olivia Rodrigo for her hit song, Driver’s License. The 18-year-old singer bested tough competition from Bruno Mars w/ Anderson Paak, BTS, Cardi B ft. Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa, and 4kGoldn ft. iann dior.

Many were surprised to see Lopez since she had been in Venice, Italy with her boyfriend Ben Affleck earlier in the week to attend the premiere of his film The Last Duel. The couple even made their first red carpet appearance together during their time in Europe. However, they flew back to NYC on Saturday, September 11, just in time for the Met Gala on September 13.
Initially, it was believed that Affleck had a work commitment that prevented them from attending the event together, but it now seems likely that they will be hitting the steps of the Metropolitan Museum side by side.
And the champion is revealed! Olivia Rodrigo clinched the prestigious Song Of The Year accolade for her hit track, Driver’s License.

Before hitting the stage, the singer of “Jenny From The Block” made a grand entrance in a luxurious sprinter van and decided to skip the red carpet to surprise everyone with her arrival.
