“The Unforgettable Bond Between a Furry Friend and a Senior Citizen: A Story of Daily Inspiration”

Canines can truly enhance our existence with their endearing personalities and unique ability to connect with humans. Witnessing a four-legged companion consistently visit an elderly woman in order to bring happiness is truly heartwarming.

Heath recently revealed on Bored Panda that Jade, his Australian Shepherd-Shiba Inu mix, has discovered a new purpose as a support dog. Weighing 35 pounds and only 1.5 years old, Jade now helps an elderly woman who works at a home health care facility. Heath shared the touching story on Reddit’s r/Dogs forum, explaining how the woman had lost her beloved dog on the same day as her husband’s passing. Jade’s second life is all about providing comfort and support to this grieving woman.

Heath proposed that Jade accompany them on a visit to his girlfriend’s client’s residence, as she had demonstrated an understanding of the client’s delicate state and was being particularly gentle. Jade and the client appeared to hit it off well, and Mrs. Riddle, the client’s guardian, was so impressed with Jade that she gifted her numerous toys. Whenever Heath or his colleague mentions visiting Mrs. Riddle’s house, Jade becomes elated and has taken it upon herself to provide therapy to the client full-time. According to Heath, the client looks forward to Jade’s visits and can be contacted Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. It’s remarkable how Jade has intentionally transformed herself into a therapy dog for someone who has experienced significant losses.

Heath has a deep love for his furry friend, Jade, and enjoys sharing stories about her with the Reddit community of dog lovers. Jade has been by Heath’s side since she was just a young puppy that he received from a woman in Palmer, Alaska to help improve his mental well-being. Her parents are an American Eskimo dog, Shiba Inu, and Australian shepherd mix. Recently, Heath’s girlfriend brought Jade to comfort Mrs. Riddle after she lost her dog on the anniversary of her husband’s passing. Jade quickly bonded with Mrs. Riddle. As part of his cost-saving and adventurous lifestyle, Heath built a sleeper in his car, which both he and Jade currently call home while boondocking.

My furry companion, Jade, is not just an adorable dog, she’s also a fierce protector of our pack. Her gentle nature only adds to her charm and appeal. A friend of mine, Heath, once commented on how she snuggled up to him while he was writing. He even coined the terms “dogonality” or “dogsona” to describe her unique personality. As a half Eskimo dog, Jade loves to run, and Heath often keeps her close with a leash while skateboarding down Anchorage’s Coastal Trail. She not only spends time with us but also treasures her friendship with Mrs. Riddle, who can frequently be seen with Jade by her side.
